Darby Compton, LCpc
I was born and raised in Phoenix, and lived in Denver for several years before moving to Montana. Throughout college and after, I enjoyed working with young adults in various capacities. I mentored and led high school students through my time volunteering with Young Life. During those years, I realized my passion for coming alongside individuals in the midst of life’s challenges. If I learned one thing from my experience with young adults, it is that we are wired for connection and belonging. At the same time, however, it is a tremendous fear to enter into relationships where we are both fully known and accepted. I set out to learn about what it takes to come alongside people in order to cultivate freedom, hope, and healing both internally and relationally.
I received my Masters Degree in Mental Clinical Health Counseling from Denver Seminary, a CACREP accredited program, and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Montana. As a counselor, I worked in an impatient eating disorder center, a University counseling center, and, most recently, a residential treatment center for adolescents. I enjoy working with individuals struggling with hardships around trauma, anxiety, depression, identity struggles, shame, grief, life transitions, faith, and relationships. No matter what circumstance you find yourself in, you were not meant to walk this journey alone. I am passionate about creating a safe environment where you can be fully received, exactly where you are.
